Branches
Add Branch
To Add a Branch, follow these steps:

Go to Customers module

Locate the Customer to whom the Branch will belong

Click on the Option button [ ፧ ] at the end of the required row

Select View or Edit Customer
-
Click [ + ] on the Branches section
-
Complete the new Branch information: Name, Description, and Address
-
Click [ + ] again to add more Branches to the same Customer
-
-
Click Save to keep the changes or Back to return without saving any change
A new Branch must have a name and address.
To add the address, you need to choose a country and state from the drop-down list and finally write the address details in the “address” section.
The section "Description" of the branch is optional.
Add as many branches as needed to a customer.
How to edit a Branch?
By clicking on the options button [ ፧ ] , you can:

Here you can view and/or edit the following branch details:

Name

Description

Address

Branch Previous Names
We understand that clients change names or sell their facilities.
“Branch Previous Name” will allow the user to search information about a Branch, even if its name has changed.
To see the “Branch Previous Name”, follow these steps:

From Home, go to Customers

Locate the Customer to whom the Branch will belong

Click [ ፧ ] at the end of the required row

Select View or Edit Customer

Locate the Branch that changed its name and click on its name. The system will display the complete Branch information, including the Previous name or names for the Branch

Click [ + ] on “Previous Name” to add an old Branch name

You can also click on the EDIT button at the bottom of the page to give this branch a new name, leaving the current name as an Branch Previous Name.
Once a Branch is created, you can edit it and add old branch names and/or set a new branch name
Branch’s Wells
This section shows the list of wells that belong to the selected Branch.
Click on the Well name to see more details related to it or click [ ፧ ] to see more options as:

Delete Well
Merge Branches
Merge Branches allows the user to turn two branches into one, keeping all the information from both branches.
In Merge Branch, you can merge two branches into one.
This is very useful when one customer acquires / merges another branch and merges into one name.
To Merge Branches, follow these steps:

From Home, go to Customers
-
Locate the required Customer on the list. Click [ ፧ ] at the end of the row and select Edit Customer.

At the Branch Information section, locate one of the Branches being merged and click [ ፧ ] at the end of the row

Select Merge Branch option. The system will display the Merge Branches page

Branch #1 section displays the information about the current branch. This will be the Branch to keep by default
-
In Branch #2 section, select the Branch to be merged
-
To make Branch #2 the branch to keep, click the option "Set as Default"
-
The system will update the list of Wells, including the wells from both Branches
-
Click Save to keep the changes or Back to return without saving any change
Split Branch
When a client owns a branch and for some reason divides it, it will be necessary to create a new customer and split the current branch, so the information is kept in the system. This new branch will have only the selected wells that belonged to the previous branch.
This action will allow to keep all historical information about services performed to these wells, so the new customer can have it and use it as reference.
To split a branch, follow these steps:

From Home, go to Customers

Locate the required Customer on the list and click [ ፧ ] at the end of the row and select Edit Customer

At the Branch Information section, locate the Branch to split and click [ ፧ ] at the end of the row

Select Split Branch option. The system will display the Split a Branch page

Select the Customer from the drop-down list or create a new customer if required clicking on [customer +] to add it

Enter the new Branch Information

Select the Wells to move to the new Branch. Select al the Wells to move to the new Branch
-
Click Save to keep the changes or click Back to return without saving any change
Now the new owner of that branch becomes a new customer for the driller.
But actually the wells in that portion of the branch have their own history of services performed, which are inherited by the new owner.
In these cases, the Split Branch tool is very useful keeping any detail of the well on which the driller has already performed services in the past.
Change Branch Owner
When you change the owner of a branch, all the wells that belong to this branch will be transferred as well as all the service orders for its wells.
This action will allow maintaining all historical information on the services performed on these wells.
To change the owner of a branch, follow these steps:

From Home, go to Clients

Locate the required Client in the list and click [ ፧ ] at the end of the row and select Edit Customer

In the Branch Information section, locate the branch you want to change ownership of and click [ ፧ ] at the end of the row

Select the “change branch owner” option. The system will display the Change Branch Owner page.

Select the client from the dropdown list or create a new client if necessary by clicking [client +] to add it

Enter new customer information
-
Click Save to keep your changes or click Back to return without saving any changes
Now the new owner of that branch becomes a new customer for the driller.

Why can't I delete a Branch?
The structure of a client is based on the following scheme:
Customer
Branch
Well
Service Order
You cannot delete a branch that has wells associated with it,
To remove the Branch, you must first remove the Wells from that Branch.
