Split Branch

When a client owns a branch and for some reason divides it, it will be necessary to create a new customer and split the current branch, so the information is kept in the system.  This new branch will have only the selected wells that belonged to the previous branch.

This action will allow to keep all historical information about services performed to these wells, so the new customer can have it and use it as reference.

To split a branch, follow these steps:

  1. From Home, go to Customers

  2. Locate the required Customer on the list and click [ ፧ ] at the end of the row and select Edit Customer

  3. At the Branch Information section, locate the Branch to split and click [ ፧ ] at the end of the row

  4. Select Split Branch option.  The system will display the Split a Branch page

  5. Select the Customer information from the drop-down list or create a new customer if required

  6. Enter the new Branch Information

  7. Select the Wells to move to the new Branch. Select al the Wells to move to the new Branch

  8. Click Save to keep the changes or click Back to return without saving any change

Now the new owner of that branch becomes a new customer for the driller.

But actually the wells in that portion of the branch have their own history of services performed, which are inherited by the new owner.

In these cases, the Split Branch tool is very useful keeping any detail of the well on which the driller has already performed services in the past.
